Is GTA 6 coming to PC? No version, no date, no specs — and what history says

What Rockstar has said

Nothing. No PC announcement, no placeholder, no store listing on Steam, Epic or the Rockstar Store, and no ratings-board entry for a PC version. Rockstar has not ruled it out either, which given the studio's history is the expected position rather than a bad sign.

What the pattern suggests

Rockstar's last two major releases went console first, PC later.

Two data points is not a rule, but the direction is consistent and the gap narrowed. If VI follows the same shape, a PC release lands somewhere between late 2027 and 2028. Treat that as a pattern, not a date; the PC release guide has the reasoning in full.

There are no system requirements

Every "GTA 6 PC requirements" table you have seen is invented. A search for it is worth money to the pages ranking for it, and that shapes the answer they give.

What can be said comes from what Rockstar's previous ports actually asked for — and it points the other way from the advice being handed out:

When each port arrived, its minimum card was six or seven years old and its recommended card three. Rockstar builds these games to scale down, and the published requirements describe the floor. Two things do look different for VI: storage will be large, and an SSD is likely to be required rather than advised, since the console version is built around the PS5's drive. What to do now

• Buy storage if you are short. It is cheap, it does not go out of date, and it is the single requirement that is close to certain.
• Do not buy a graphics card for this. Whatever is correct for VI at 1440p is a product nobody has announced, at a price nobody can quote, and a card bought today sits through a year or two of being superseded first.
• If you want the game in November, it is the console version. You are buying a year or more of earlier access plus whatever else you would use the console for. The map of Leonida is open in the meantime.

What would signal a PC version

Watch for the things that necessarily precede one, not for leaked specs: a store listing on Steam, the Epic Games Store or the Rockstar Store; a PC entry at the ESRB or PEGI; a Rockstar Newswire post that mentions PC at all; the title appearing in GPU driver release notes. When the first happens, real requirements follow within weeks, from Rockstar.
