GTA 6 100% completion: the checklist, the tracker, and what counts

The GTA 6 100% checklist does not exist yet — Rockstar has published no completion requirements and nobody has finished the game. What 100% meant in GTA V, what to expect in Leonida, and how the Leonidash codex will track every item from 19 November 2026.

Quick answer

There is no GTA 6 100% checklist yet: Rockstar has published no completion requirements, and nobody has finished the game. In GTA V, 100% meant every story mission, the side quests, the hobbies and pastimes, the random events and a set of collectibles. This page will hold the verified GTA 6 list from launch, and the codex tracks each item as you find it.

One hundred percent is a number the game calculates, from a list only Rockstar has. Until 19 November nobody can see that list, and this page will not pretend to. What it can do is say what the list has looked like before, what is being built to track it, and what to have ready.

What 100% meant in GTA V

GTA V's completion screen counted five things, weighted differently, and reaching 100% needed all of them.

CategoryWhat it covered
MissionsEvery story mission — 69 of them
Strangers and FreaksThe side-quest chains met around the map
Hobbies and pastimesRaces, sports, ranges, the activities the map is full of
Random eventsEncounters triggered by being in the right place
MiscellaneousA long tail: stunt jumps, under-the-bridge flights, and some, not all, of the collectibles

Two lessons carried over. First, the collectibles that counted and the ones that did not were decided by Rockstar's list, not by how hard they were to find — several of the biggest hunts in GTA V were worth nothing on the completion screen. Second, the list was only knowable from the game's own checklist once it existed, and that is exactly how this page will be built.

What to expect in Leonida

Expectations, not facts:

  • Story missions and heists, tracked in the missions and heists indexes with a guide each.
  • Collectibles, with a database entry per item and its place on the map.
  • Activities and side content, across six regions of a state whose map is already charted.
  • A percentage that ignores some of it. It always has.

How the tracker works

The codex is the completion tracker, and it exists now. Every category the game will have — locations, collectibles, missions, heists, weapons, vehicles — is a tab; every item is a row you tick off; the total is the number at the top. Progress saves in your browser without an account, or to a Discord-linked account so it follows you between devices, and there is a shareable card of where you stand.

Today the five categories that need the game are filled with placeholder slots. On launch night the placeholders become real records as fast as people playing write them down and the community confirms them — which is the same night this page becomes a checklist.

Before launch

  • Open the codex once, so the browser it saves to is the one you will use.
  • If you want progress to follow you, sign in with Discord before launch rather than during it.
  • Learn the map. A hundred-percent run in GTA V was mostly driving to places; knowing Leonida's roads is preparation that carries over.

Changes to this page

  • 8 September 2026 — page created, ahead of launch. The GTA V precedent and the tracker; no GTA 6 requirements to record.

Questions

  • What counts towards 100% in GTA 6?
Unknown until the game is out. In GTA V it was story missions, Strangers and Freaks, hobbies and pastimes, random events and a miscellaneous set that included some collectibles but not all of them.
  • How long does 100% take?
Nobody knows. No completion time exists for a game nobody has finished.
  • Do collectibles count towards 100%?
In GTA V, some did and some did not. Which GTA 6 collectibles count is unknown until Rockstar's own completion screen exists to check against.
  • How do I track my GTA 6 progress?
The codex on this site: tick items off as you find them, saved in your browser or to a Discord-linked account, with a shareable progress card.
  • Is there a reward for 100% in GTA 6?
Not announced. GTA V unlocked a final side mission at 100%; whether VI does anything similar is unknown.
